Lotion! When I traveled to places with the ocean just there at arm's reach, my skin felt so moisturized and amazing that I honestly didn't need lotion ( I need to move near the ocean!). With that being said, I live in West Texas so my skincare needs are different than those that live in other, less arid regions of the world. I have compiled a couple of great lotions that I really like and use every day.
CannaCell Lotion by Andalou, the beauty is in the name. They enrich their lotion with hemp stem cells to enrich lotion and man oh man I love it! I really like all of the scents, it's affordable, lasts a long time, is not greasy, soaks right in, and fulfills my need for moisture.
The Seaweed Bath Company body cream. When this is on sale I buy it! It is thick, creamy, soaks in fast, and is not greasy. The eucalyptus and peppermint smell divine and so does the newer addition "Uplift". With my skin chemistry, it even starts to smell a little woodsy which I really love. I cannot say enough good things about this company and all of its products.
Drunk Elephant has some really good-for-you products. I began using this on my back because I needed something to moisturize that would not flare up the bacne I have been battling since I stopped taking birth control. I have more on this topic in this article. This lotion has a very light scent that goes away when you put it on which I really nice for those who do not want a strong odor from their lotion. I order all their products from here.
Recently I was introduced to Weleda Skin Food, and I am obsessed with the richness and of this product. I have found that I really prefer creams instead of lotions on my body ( not my back though!).
Honestly, I think that everyone needs to read labels. Make sure that what you are putting on, in, and around your body is safe. Here is a video that can talk more about why reading labels is important, you could also take a look around my other blogs.
