47 Simple Wellness Tips for the Body, Mind, and Soul- Kendra Pennington
I have searched far and wide for hair care products that are non-toxic, sustainable, cruelty-free, and all of that stuff that we really need to be paying attention to ( make your dollar count!). Well, I finally found one that I truly love and that smells Devine. The brand is called Acure (they have other products as well!). The best part is that this brand can also be found at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Ross at half off. No, it isn't that expensive! But it is good to know where you can find ways to save and still be healthy. So, here is my favorite smelling option and best for my hair type.
Aveda! I cannot say enough great things about Aveda products and their salons. If you have a chance to go to a purely Aveda salon like the ones in Austin, Texas, it's a great experience, or at least mine was! My hair is super fine and I love it, but when I go out I want to curl my hair and I want those curls to last. Aveda thickening tonic is the best!
Drunk Elephant products are some of the best products I have ever come across. They accidentally sent me a scalp scrub ( see picture below ) instead of body lotion and they let me keep it so of course, I use it! I love that their products are basically scent free and contain good for you ingredients. Check them out, link is here.
I started using hair oil when I was not going to style my hair and I really like Badger hair Oil, click here. I say when I do not style my hair because my hair is so fine that any extra product weighs it down and makes it look oily within a few hours. I am sure that someone with thicker hair would not have an issue with using this oil. I noticed it does not leave a build-up on my hair like some hair oils are said to do.
Really though, any natural hair care product will do. Make sure to check the ingredients label, and know what you are putting in, on, and around your body. Check out this video or my other blogs to learn more about why you should read labels and switch to healthier products.
