Attracting "good" or "bad"

Good and bad =judgment = meaning-making

Emotions and sensations from those emotions are just states of being with a certain frequency, like what Dr. David Hawkins spoke about, click here and here to learn more about this.


These feelings and emotions make you feel unpleasant or pleasant, and we as humans add meaning.


Sometimes, these feelings are overwhelming, and sometimes they get stuck, like in trauma (it is not good or bad, it just is).


You need to move through these emotions and sensations. Moving through unpleasant and pleasant feelings/sensations allows you to feel more pleasant sensations in the long run and develop a tolerance for big feelings, whether they be pleasant or unpleasant.


Yes, it is valuable to have an optimistic viewpoint on life, yes the law of attraction states in a way, if you are more positive you attract more positive experiences and vice versa. However, not addressing the unpleasantness of life and only focusing on the positive (effectively ignoring the unpleasantness) is called toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing ( there are probably other terms for this), and it is essentially another form of avoidance.


If things that are not pleasant happen to you it does not mean you are putting out bad energy to attract it, it may just mean that it is a learning experience for your soul, or it may even be trauma needing to be looked at and asking to be healed. Just ask, what am I learning from this? Learn to move through emotions and sensations so you can grow and heal. You can do this alone with resources ( there are a lot on my website) or more importantly, with a mental health professional, spiritual advisor, life coach, etc. (preferably individuals who are trained in trauma work).


You can desire/ask for the creator/God to give you learning lessons that are not so challenging, but life is duality, you cannot appreciate a meal if you’ve never felt hungry, and you cannot appreciate someone being kind to you if you have never known the opposite of kindness. So, acceptance of what is is important as well as knowing you have the power to change it.
